Tad,
It's usually referred to as the "Rover V8", because more of them went into
Rovers than anything else. This includes at least two Rover 3500 models, the
old sedan and the newer (but defunct) fastback.
A friend in Canada once found a Buick manifold for this engine, and put a
Holley on his Rover 3500. However, he hadn't done anything to the cam or
head, so it was grossly over-carbed, and he went back to the Strombergs.
Still, some TR8 owner might want to cut a hole in his bonnet (hood) so that
he can accomodate a 4-barrel. With enough mod's, it could make quite a
little dragster!
