I forgot to add, the alternator produces about 17 volt, but that is regulated internally to about 14v. The alternator senses when the voltage drops because of lights and supplies more current, lowering it's resistance, and raising the voltage. -- James Carpenter Yellow '79 spit wired by a trained marmot |
