Again this list has turned out to be most valuable. When I posted my
request for spitfire MK1 seat cushions I assumed at the time that it
would be fruitless since those seats are scarce as hens teeth. But
thanks to Rob Williams and his son Dan, who happens to own the
earliest spitfire in Joe Curey's database, I have been provided with
the complete passenger side. I hadn't expected them to provide me
with the seat frame but they did and it turned out to be a good
thing. It turns out that the MK1 seat frames are NOT like the MK2
seat frames as I had been led to believe. The bottom angle iron
portion of the frame on the MK1 is totally flat, whereas on the MK2
the frame has a dip moulded into it. So here I was sitting here with
a correct passenger seat and nothing for the driver side. About an
hour after Rob & Dan dropped off the seat at my house I happened to
check my e-mail. Guess what, someone in VA posted a message saying
they had only a drivers side available!!!!
So instead of not having any seats for my near complete Spitfire I
now have a complete set. On top of that I have an original set of
seats for a MK2 for sale real cheap if anyone whats them. If anyone
is interested in them please contact me.
Once again thanks listers!
