When I purchased my '63 TR4, it had a lot of parts with it.Among them a
tranny with an overdrive attached but without a top on the tranny case.
The transmission looks identical to the original until I try to fit the
top which has the removable plugs to accept the sending units. The
reverse fork will not align itself with the tranmission with the o.d.
unit, but will fit the original transmission housing. Does the reverse
fork have to be repositioned when adding an overdrive, or do I not have
the proper tranny or proper top piece?
Any help will be appreciated.
