As Nike (I think) once said, "It's the SHOES". Turns out the shoe linings were just too darn thick. Exchanged them for another pair (about 1/16 less is what it looks like), and the left drum just slid nicely on. Now I've just gotta get the right one that I forced on back off, and I'll be in business. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU, for all the help and suggestions. It's greatly appreciated.
