Robert,
Unfortunately, in your case it's not quite that simple. If you had a
MK2 with the later engine, than It could be as simple as changing the
crank and rods, and possibly a few other minor things, with those from a
TR6. The blocks were the same casting at that point. The heads really
have nothing to do with displacement. The only way to change an earlier
car is to replace the entire engine with one from a TR6, but the tranny
wouldn't last very long -, although I suppose you could change to the
TR6 tranny as well, but would require some fabrication -
