I've got 175/70-13 on mine and they work just fine AND have the
right rolling circumference so as not to upset the speedometer
reading. This is on the 4.5" rims my car was delivered with. On
the 6" alloy rims I've used "slightly" wider tires with "slightly"
less grooving in them... ;-) Look! Brand new! Not even a scratch
in them!!! is what I told the cops everytime they stopped me...
The 175/70 pretty well equals the stock 155-13 [80 profile] that
is what mostly is used nowdays when the 145-13 is so much more
expensive...
