Troy, As I'm sure you've already heard or surmised, BMW stands for Bavarian Motor Werks. Also the "official" BMW magazine Roundel offered up "blau mit weis" or blue with white, the colors on the emblem. When I was a junior high English teacher and wore a BMW belt buckle, the kids translated it to mean "big, mean and weird"... Welcome to the list, and nobody knows it all.
