I've often read your articles in the Courier, you certainly get around. I
haven't yet figured out this autox thing yet, I seem to get everything twice
and so I think I've messed up somewhere. Anyway, hopefully this'll get to
the right place and I'll sit down sometime and sort out the subscription. Do
these articles appear on a "conventional" Internet newsgroup? I can manage
those OK!
To answer your question, I live in Reading but as I work in the city, have
two small kids and a PC habit it's hard to find the time (let alone the
money) to get stuck into matters Triumph. However, I will be digging out the
Vitesse from the accumulated rubbish in the garage and trying to take stock
of what is and isn't there. I must admit, I'm assuming it's a TR6 engine but
it could be 2.5PI or any derivative, there's certainly a PI system strapped
on there and a longer throw crank with modified sump but it could be
anything really. My investigations so far have revealed a rather bodged
vehicle not very 'honest' at all! Some bits are missing, nothing too major
although I know there's no backplate for the Vitesse 'box so that'll be a
priority to acquire.
Once I've taken stock I'll start setting about planning out what order I'm
gonna do it all in, where to start?? I'll be in touch. In the meantime I'll
look out for your car in Triumph World mag.
