I read a while back that MMO consists of 5W oil with Oil of Wintergreen,

and some kind of Zinc Dialky.... something (commonly used as an antiwear

additive in motor oils and "engine treatments").  The Oil of Wintergreen

is the item that gives it the penetrating and loosening ability(and the
smell).  The red is supposedly just red petroleum dye.
