re: environmental impact. Given that beads and sand are made of the same stuff anyway (silicon), I'd guess that the Earth won't care which one is dumped. Just so long as you follow Joe's advice and filter the goo out first, of course... Of course, there's also other media, (mediae?), like walnut shells and baking soda. Not sure how well those two would strip a frame, but they're good for bodywork. -Malcolm |
