Bob - I don't have any advice on the carpet and trim (I have a current
post out asking for experience about the TRF carpets). However, I went
thru the seat experience last year. Here's the highlights:
Call Vicky British and request they send you the brochure called "How-To
Install Your riumph TR6 Interior". Ask for the "city desk, as the
customer service line didn't have a clue as to what I was asking for.
This brochure is worth it's weight in gold IMHO. It discusses trim,
carpet and seat restoration in enough detail. It was very helpful in
walking me thru the restoration of my seats. I took the seats down to
the frames, replaced the foams, diaphrams, etc. Without that brochure I
would have been lost. The most difficult part was getting the cardboard
inserts at the base of the side skirts. No one had them and I ended up
using the fiberboard ones that the DPO had put there. No big deal.
I don't have any experience with buying the vinyl. I was fortunate that
the DPO had replaced them (from TRF) prior to my acquiring the car. He
simply clipped them on the the frame and didn't glue them in place. Thus
they came off pretty easy and went back on ok as well. I got lucky
there!
Finally, get the 3M Trim Adhesive. Good Stuff!
Hope this helps!
