Atmospheric pressure is 14.7 lbs/sq in at sea level. Thus a 10:1 CR
should read about 147 lbs. For some reason however, presumably something
to do with the gas vapor, actual readings are usually about 20 lbs
higher than theoretical. Maybe a fellow lister can elaborate.
