Doug,
Unfortunately, I drove the TD for a couple of years before I felt the
youthful urge to have a Corvette. I resisted the feeling until 1975
and traded the TD and an almost new Monte Carlo for a Brand new Vette
T-top. I paid almost full price including my trades. The Vette turned
out to be a lemon and I ended up trading it 5 months later for a Dodge
Maxi Van. I am still lamenting the decision to do that unfortunate bit
of horse trading.
Since then, I have had a 36 Dodge, a 67 MGB, a 65 VW Bug and my Spit.
I like the Spit most of all.
