1957 the TR took this country like a fraight train. We were more than ready
for a small, fast, sleek, rain in your face, wind in your hair tractor! As
the years went by, popularity grew until we got "civilized" (AC, Stereo,
and other human comforts), then our beloved TR's died a terrible
death--Apathy!!
Do not bash that little car (Miata). Encourage It!! If cars like the Miata
get enough of the market share, the Brits (TR) just might bring back the
thrill of oil spots on your driveway and rain on your shoes.
