"Bars Leaks" type products are notorious for clogging heater cores. I'm not sure about Triumph heater cores, but most heater cores have passages smaller than the passages in a radiator core. Of course, Triumphs are meant to be driven in on warm sunny days, the heater is only a marketing check list item ;^). Even if the leak is stopped, it's only temporary.
