Well, after several very, very fun weeks I brought the TR4 into the back
yard and have it set up on blocks :-(
There was a hole in the LR fender that I thought I'd better take a look
at; the door B-post also was swiss-cheesed so I figure I will remove the
fender for repairs.
I have started soaking all the bolts I can find with penetrating fluid, I
figure a week should do them.
However, preliminary examinations show that it may not be a good idea to
fix the fender; ie. I wouldn't have to fix the sheet metal, I would have
to fix the bondo! There's a strip of it right down the top edge, and the
metal it covered up has rusted away and fallen out :-(
So my question is, does anyone have an old LR fender? It doesn't have to
be perfect or clean or anything, just solid. Crumples, dings and surface
rust (even holes) I can deal with; right now, I don't have much to work
with.
And if I could find a B-post too, that would be lovely...
and while I'm dreaming, can anyone give me a multivariate calculus
textbook? *sigh*
