TR3 side curtain window

Can anyone tell me where the flexible plastic window in the Dzus mount
side curtain goes? 

I thought that it went in the fuzzy channel with the plexiglass screen,
but it would seem to make more sense to put it alongside the fuzzy
channel on the outside, giving it a better seal.

The curtains I started with didn't have enough of the plastic window
left to tell.
