Nicholls, Clark wrote: > Has anyone really fallen prey to "bad gas" or is their storage suspect? A TR3 stored for about seven years by a friend needed total fuel system cleanout to run again, lines, carbs, pump, etc. After we had fuel coming to the carbs again, we tried to run it on the gas that was in the tank, and it would not combust. Not even when injected into the carbs with a syringe. The old gas also smelled a bit like liquor. Drained all the gas, filled with new gas, and drove away. -- Trevor Boicey Ottawa, Canada tboicey@brit.ca http://www.brit.ca/~tboicey/ |
