Hi Ed,

Replacing the rear springs is pretty a pretty straight forward job.

Have the car on jack stands or a lift.  Take the tension off the swing
arm ( the aluminum piece attached to the frame that the axle goes through
) by jacking it up.  Undo ( remove ) the two nuts holding the shock link.
They are below the swing arm.   There are two so that they lock against
each other.  

Let the swing arm down SLOWLY and the shock link will come out.  The
spring should flop out.  If not a pry bar may be needed to give it a
little extra push. 

Reassembly is reverse on the above.  

It really is that easy.  And if you let the swing arm down slowly, it is
a fairly safe job.
