yes, head oilers are a good idea and yes, the circulation is often that poor.
Even with the feed pipe (which simply installs ina bout 5 minutes using
existing holes inthe block and splitter adaptors) there isnt a whole bunch
of oil up there compared with, say, the average ohc motor but it's enough
to keep things cool and well lubed.
I have used these kits (via TriumphTune - alll are the same) since 1989 and
had great results spreading the word. Ony once have I heard of a TR driver
oiling his #6 plug because of excesive passby of the valve guide - and he
claims to have replaced them.
Anyway, $0.02 in favor of the kits for reliability (that other thread over
there somewhere)
