I'll go the more complicated route with a responce and hope
someone else can give a more simple answer to your problem.

Having the body removed from my '70 TR6 (Comm No CC51904L) to
make frame repairs and minor body/rust repairs, and finally
a great paint job, the doors didn't line up properly. To resolve
this, we had to go back and measure all clearances and adjust
body mount shims/pads to get the doors to set properly. This can
be quit tedious since one adjustment at one mount throws off the
other points, and so on... Eventually, with patience, all alligned
and the doors swing freely and close with a nice "thud", or
something like that.

Did your TR6 ever have any collisiojn work where frame/body where
seperated? This could be the source of the problem??
