You may want to check out "More BS about TRs" by Bob Schaller
(available from TRF. He laid out the conversion using Ford eletrics...
I did his conversion on my TR4... After 4 voltage regulators and 3
generators The change was... refreshing. In one shot I just about
eliminated 90% of my TR xheadaches.
That was over 5 years ago and the only problem I have encountered
since was when I got the fan belt too tight and messed up a bearing
in the alternator.
