TR6 door hinges

Has anyone ever repaired the door hinges on the TR6?  I have a broken pin
in one of my hinges, which of course makes the hinge wobbly.  I have been
able to remove the old pin (heat and hammer), and need to devise a new
pin arrangement.

Any suggestions (polite ones, that is)?

I realize I could purchase new or used hinges, but the former are
expensive and the latter are hard to find in good shape.  Besides, it's
fun problem solving with these cars.
