My Holbrecht roll bar and all other "street" rollbars that I have seen
bolt to the "back seat" area. The rollbar will prevent you from
reclining the seats and may somewhat limit seat travel, but at 6'0" it
hasn't been a problem for me. BTW, my car is a '72, with the high back
seats.
Proper installation will require removing the carpet in that area,
drilling holes and fastening with bolts, steel backing plates and nuts.
This job can be done by one person, but a helper makes things much
easier. You'll get the job done much faster with one person under the
car and the other inside. After the bar is installed you reinstall the
carpet by cutting holes and slits to fit over/around the roll bar.
