DALE: Congratulations on the new potential pre-war vintage racer.Your
next move is to get all the specifications on the car you can.
On the TR3 Lucas distributors,They do have a tendency to wear between
the shaft & the plate,causing the wobble that concerns you.I just gave up on
a reliable repair & went to a Mallory dual point.Probably not the thing for a
show car but a logical move for a vintage racer or fast streeter.
I was once asked why I had no confidence in Lucas distributors & I
responded that"I had no problem with Lucas distributors in fact I wish all my
competitors would run them
