Headers? On my TR6?

I bought a pair of Monza mufflers. I had heard the sound on an other TR and
just couldnt resist... Then I got headers as a birthday present! (my
girlfriend, although a little jealous of the attention I give to my 25
years old british mistress, probably heard me talk about it in my
sleep...). Apart from the obvious Vroooom these exhaust accessories give,
what are the benefits and/or counter-benefits of fitting headers and
"sportier" mufflers?
