Ok, here's a quick recap. Bought 72 Spit. came with two DISasembled
blocks. (1500/1300) Turns out the 1300 has been bored 60 OVER
(anyone want a boat anchor) the 1500 is cherry (still std bore).
Here are my questions:
1-I have no id tag on my single strom. carb, how can I tell which one I
have?
2-If the carb is from the 1300, will it supply enough fuel for the 1500 (ie,
was there a different carb for the 1500)
3-What problems (wiring, mounting,etc) may I encounter putting this
engine into the 1300/72/spit?
4-Are the 1300 and 1500 distributors/oil sump/pan the same?
5-Anyone with a set of 1500 10 over pistons for sale ;) ?
6-Any problems using this with the stock 4 spd 1300 tranny/drivline/diff (I
am pretty sure they were the same, except for the ring/pinion right?
