Hi Marty,
The starter is pretty easy to remove. From under the hood, remove the
battery cable. Get under the car and remove the bottom bolt and nut
holding the starter. Then go back top side and remove your air cleaners.
Take a wrench and slide down between the body and the engine, it will
slide down onto the nut holding the top bolt.
Undo the bolt and remove it by bringing out between the fender and the
carbs.
Installation is reverse of the above, except you need to put the top bolt
in first. It does work.
