Barry:
This is one of the first things I had to do when I got my 74 Spitfire last
winter. As others have mentioned its a very straight forward job, but
removing the cover under the steering column makes things a whole lot easier.
Also, make sure you check the continuity on the connections inside the new
switch. When I replaced mine it did not work. So I pulled it out and
found that the connections inside the new switch itself were soldered so
poorly that they had come loose already. It was fairly easy to resolder them.
