Chris, thanks for the good info about the fans.

I was just wondering if a small modern clutch fan would be one
to consider adding to a Triumph.  You might have to make a hub
adaptor of some type, which would probably be the hard part,
but just curious if anyone has found one in a salvage yard that
looks like a good candidate to adapt to a Triumph.  This would
be a bit simpler in regard to (no) wiring at all.
