Excellent point! Not too long ago, I replaced these gaskets on my TR6. Except
for one little hole, the gaskets are symmetrical. The ones I had were blue on
one side, and grey on the other. After checking one of them against the carb
intake, I determined that the blue side went out, and installed them both
that way. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! On one, the blue side went out: on the other,
the grey side went out. The carbs are identical, but the gaskets had been
punched in reverse. The car drove like crap. Took me forever to figure out
the problem. I was absolutley certain the gaskets were installed properly,
and, of course, the one I rechecked was the one that was correct.
