Sorry for the delay, gary, but I've been busy. Yes It's called
the Missouri Enduro Rally, and its only for Brit cars from 1980 back. And
yes, I ran it this year,March 25, sorry you missed it. It's run by the
St.Louis MG club and it ws a blast. It was run over a 2 day period with
the first 500miles in Illinois on Saturday and the second 500 in Missouri
on Sunday. Only rules are that you must get a reciept from each address
and the lowest miles wins. However, if you get back to early there is
a penalty, to keep everyone safe. No I did not win, but we took some
hellish roads and I'm certainly glad we were not driving my car! If you
would like I'll keep you posted for next year. RObin Weatherallex-Joe Cocker
band) runs the thing and he will also be up for the "CHAMPAIGN BRITISH
CAR FESTIVAL" held here in Champaign,Ill over the Memorial weekend(May 23-25)
I'm sure if you were to comeover for the event I could get you 2 together
at some point(bribe intended)! I have a few great pictures from railroad
bridges and the such from the weekend event.
TRiumphantly,
Mark
