Bob Nogueria asked about a lack of oil to the rockers...
This is apparently such a chronic problem for Triumph engines that all of
the major parts suppliers sell an after market external oil feed kit. This
consists of a length of braided tube with a banjo connector at one end and a
standard screw-in fitting at the other. It routes oil from the side of the
block (where the oil pressure is at the max) to the oil gallery in the head.
It is about a 5 minute job to install, and it looks good when done. This
way you're not counting on the oil passages being clear and lined up
properly, etc., but have a positive path for the oil to get to the rockers.
If you're worried about losing points in a concours, it can be removed
easily when you get to the show ;-).
