Fred, I used a word "gouge" when a person sent in the top 10 list for
a TR6 and I referred to it as gouge. I got some strange come back from a
few on the list, at least strange to me since the word is used frequently
in the my line of work (military/aviation). On person ask what is "Gouge"
and this is the answer I sent but it never got posted. So I am trying to
answer the mail.

Gouge! Is anything that cut through the chase, cheat notes, short cuts,
nuggets of learning. We all collect gouge, with the top ten list for the
TR6 that was posted, and all the notes that has been posted on how to
do certain things, that is gouge. Without "Gouge" we would all be reading
the manuals and trying to figure things out, or paying the mechanic who
has mastered the gouge!
