Doug,
The age of the carb has nothing to do with the size. The way to tell is to
just measure the diameter of the bore (not the bridge or venturi). The size
on Strombergs is indicated by the designation 150 or 175. This indicates
the bore in inches directly (1.5 inches, 1.75 inches respectively). On SU's
the designation indicates in 1/8 inch increments over one inch. HS2 = 1
-1/4 inch, HS4 = 1 -1/2 inch etc. But there are a lot of variations besides
just the bore and age has somewhat to do with those variations.
