Do you have Stromberg's with the adjustable needles?  The dashpot oil is 
probably going to the same place mine does: leaking out past the old, worn out 
and perished needle-sealing o-ring, getting sucked into the engine and burned.
The fix is to renew the o-rings.  

Mine takes a week to leak down to nothing, sounds like yours is worse.
