ok, now i'm starting to get confused. if the rear wheel pivots in the inboard/outboard (chamber) direction about the trunion bolt, i would think that a weaker (longer?) spring would result in more positive chamber, not more negative chamber. i'm assuming that weaker means longer, for the rear spring. similarly, if someone had installed shorter propeller shafts the chamber would be more negative. an i seeing this correctly? -- michael galloway '78 spitfire |
