Having had a different problem with my TR7's headlights, they kept going up
and down
when they were on, I found out more than I ever wanted to know about them.
It sounds to me that your problem is in the gearbox on the headlight motor
itself.
The gearbox has a cam that actuates 2 switches to stop the motor when the
lights
are fully up or down. If the motor keeps running I'd have to say that
probably
the gears are stripped. Hope this points you in the right direction.
