Jay, I used to run with out the thermostat in the summer. It helped keep
it a bit cooler. Otherwise I use a summer therm. usually as I have a
problem with running too hot. I think it would be similar with a TR3.

Subject: TR3 Thermostat
I took the thermostat housing off my TR3 today and found a previous
owner removed the thermostat. Will it run better with or without a
thermostat? If I should be running with one, what temperature
thermostat should I be using (car will only be used in warm weather)?
