Greetings all,
Thanks to everyone who emailed responses to me. I finally managed to
check into the situation this weekend. I got to the gearshift retainer
cup, and it looks find. Cleaned and reassembled.
Jacked it up and noticed a fair amount of dampness, can't quite figure
out where it is coming from. Cleaned it up, and changed the cardboard
under the car.
Cannot seem to get the filler plug off the pan...it's a square edged
bolt, about 1/4 inch around. There is virtually no room, and no
leverage, and no tool seems to work. Wisdom is appreciated. Didn't
pull the drain plug, as I optimistically hope that it is not my tranny,
and therefore, would not be able to refill once drained (it is fun
being delusional!)
