Are you sure it's not just having the choke on and the engine's getting so
much fuel as to choke it?

Take a look at you timing.

I think this might be timing. I'm not sure.

Once again, check you timing. Oh! and this just came to mind- when was the
last time you replaced your fuel filter? A clogged one will cause many of
the problems you describe.

could it be a timing
