con rod bolts

Hello Group

There is no mention in Haynes or Bentley's about replacing con rod 
bearing bolts when putting in new bearings.  Where did the idea come 
from?...Comp Prep Manual?...Over-cautiousness?  By the same reasoning, 
should the main bearing bolts be replaced also?

This is important to me as I am waiting for just the bolts on backorder 
in order to finish a rebuild.
