Having contemplated a shock conversion for my TR6, I consulted with a reputable
shop in the Boston area who advised that tube shock conversions performed on
TR6's using theconventional conversion kits which either attach to the existing
frame members or body or both are destined to break or bend the body or frame
under the sort of driving stress they were purchased for in the first place.
Their recommendation ( rather pricey) was to do a Carerra tube shock conversion
with custom welding in of structural sheet metal and supports for the rear frame
to withstand the tube shock stress .
I'm sticking with the lever arms for now-bigger priorities elsewhere
