Is 400 miles a day in an LBC I suppose it depends, I've done 2000kms in 2 days travelling, in a Spitfire too, It depends how much of the country you want to see, and how comfortable you are with your car. (I don't know what the western plains are, but central Australia is rather on the monotenous side).
