Regarding your hydraulic fluid turning to dark sludge:
Remember that Glycol fluid (DOT-3 type) will absorb water at every chance
it gets, that's why all the manuals say to use fluid from a sealed con-
tainer only -- humidity from the air will be absorbed, if possible.
Check the gaskets on your Master Cylinder caps - if they are not making
an air-tight seal, that could be the whole problem - the fluid is just
getting water-saturated and turning to ca-ca. A drain & refill & one
more bleeding, along with new cap gaskets, should cure things.
Apply two leeches & call me in the morning,
