Hey,
        I've never really had any expierences with protecting the car;
we've only had it for about a year and there's still a lot to do before we
worry with bodywork. Also, here in Alabama (or Alabamer, depending on where
you live ;), we don't have to worry that much with salted roads. Some, but
when the weather is like that we can't get teh car out anyway because we
can't get tratcion!
        I don't have expierences, but I've heard from many different
sources that both Waxoly and Zymol are excellent product. (No connection
with them, blah, blah, blah.) You can have a professional apply it, but
I've never heard if it's better to do your self or have a pro. Others on
the list would probably have more suggestions.
