"Nasty" was my words, and I was speaking in terms of streetability, just
for the record.

Believe it or not, I have actually considered this. Unfortunately, I am
constrained by rules. In DSP AutoX, putting a Ford 9 inch rear def. takes
me out of Street Prepared and moves me to either Prepared or Mod class.
I'd have to shed a lot of weight (from the car ;-)) to be even mildly
competitive in that class.

I can have a limited slip diff in Street Prepared. I cannot put in a Ford
9-inch.

Now I'm going to go out in the yard and take a diff out of one of the
parts cars and weld it up into a "reall locker". It'll be a handful to
drive on a tight course, but at least I'll be able to "put the power down".

Unless somebody on the list has a Quaife that they want to sell cheap...

bye,
rml

p.s. I'm going to Road America this weekend. In a TR6!! It's a long ride
from Massachusetts over there.
