Hi Karl,
Sorry I missed the Conclave, maybe next year or next event. The timing just
wasn't right. Got a bunch of stuff done on my GT6 though. You are really
tempting me with this Stag notice, but as you say I could be risking my
marriage too bringing home a just a 2nd triumph. It really sounds like a great
car. Hope to meet you soon so we can compare our "twin" cars.

Subject: Stag for sale
At the Colorado Conclave of British Cars yesterday I met a fellow who
is interested in selling his Stag. The car was not at the meet, but
the pictures he had with him showed a very clean automobile. It
looked very well kept inside and out. This is a car I would really
like to own, however I don't think I should risk my marriage by
bringing home a third Triumph. A Stag, though, would be able to
transport the whole family at once (unlike my GT6's). The specifics
of the car (from the flyer) are as follows:
1972 Triumph Stag Exterior color: butterscotch Interior: black
Black vinyl removable hardtop, convertible top like brand new
Factory padded cage rollbar Wire wheels, knock-off hubs Power
windows, wood dash 51,943 original miles All original V8
motor
New water pump, top end of motor has been rebuilt. Carbs and
distributor rebuilt (2,000 miles ago) Owned since 1978, always
garaged, never driven driven in snow Car is all original -
excellant shape phone: (303)937-1075
If you are interested, give him a call. If you are really really
interested, I suppose I could go out and look at it for you, even
supply a video tape. No firm price was given, but he is thinking
8.5-10k.
