<I have got a problem with my Fuel gauge for my Siptfire 73.
In fact, my fuel gauge stop to working, when the level decrease to the
first quarter (just inside).
I've heard that it was just a resistance problem inside.
Some one have more information about that ?>

To test the gauge, remove the hot lead from the sending unit and ground it.
If the gauge goes all the way to "F" the gauge and wiring to it is good.
If your gauge stops reading after the tank level drops below 1/4, the
sender's arm is probably hanging up in the tank. Remove the sending unit when
you know the gasoline is below 1/2. Reconnect the wires and slowly move the
float arm up and down. If the gauge now acts normally the wire arm is
probably bent and the float is hanging up on the tank wall. If, by moving the
arm up and down, the gauge fails to move below 1/4, you've got a bad sending
unit.
